Hi it's JohnRJ

Hi
I think some of you know me from CUK.
Nice to join your forum those that post on CUK know my dilemma at the moment.
That my wife Pat as now had an Heart attack to had to all her problems.
So this fills in time while waiting to visit her it makes it a long day when you are used to always being busy i would rather be busy than just doing a few thing's around the bungalow.
So i am glad there is a thing called a forum.
As for one of the post's on this forum i have read on it reminds me so much of how Pat is at the moment the posting about having a hard job to get blood out of a vein and tummy all bruised.
Pat's veins keep collapsing when they try to take blood they are taking it a least twice a day and having injection's in her tummy to thine the blood also her 4-5 insulin injections a day plus many medication's. Now Pat as a got an infection but the staff are great at our local hospital.
                                         Kind regards John.

Hi
Thanks for yours thoughts.
Pat as now had two negative result's for her infection now so thing's are looking up.
The infection as most can guess is MRSA so no surprises there.
Will be transferred asap to Middlesex if all 3 comeback negative so maybe at the end of this week.
We have been told Pat's heart is only working at 25% capacity but told there are Lot's of people like that but it may improve as Pat gets stronger and after her treatment at the other hospital fingers crossed.
                                Kind regards John & Pat

Awwwww John -  I do hope that Pat gets better soon, and back with you so you can lavish some first class TLC on her, with your excellent care.  You must miss her, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you both, I'm sure everything will be just fine.  In the meantime you can "recharge", so you can be fresh ready to care again, when she back with you.

Btw I read your post , under the section, "You know when you are a Carer when," on Carers UK, and it really moved me, you are an amazing man, I hope that you will be reunited very soon

Take care

Hi John, my dad is 80 and has been at around 25% heart function for the last few years.

He gets about more slowly but he manages ok: the main problem is that he finds it a lot harder to keep warm.
TerribleTone

Morning John
Keeping fingers crossed that last test is negative
and then everything runs smoothly for both of you
JohnRJ

Hi
Thanks for the encouragement Pat is just in her 60's so hopefully it will get stronger it's just that Diabetes complicates thing's.
But have been told there are a lot of people living a near to normal life at 25% heart capacity so will be amongst good company.
May get the last result today if not then Friday.
Then wait for bed at Middlesex.
I have seen other people say when you are a position i am in at the moment it's good if you can write thing's down how you feel i can now say how true that is being on the 3 forum's i am and most of you are on them 3 that to put a bulletin on these forum's and get such nice replies make me feel and give me confidence in the friends i have never met so thank you all again.
                                            Kind regards   John & Pat

Stay Strong - I'm sure that you will get a lot of positivity and strength from any Carer forum, especially this one

Lola - (stillin awe of you and Pat   )
Rainbow Warrior

Still got everything crossed for Pat, but it all sounds much more positive now
And it does help to write it all down and know that you are not alone, there are a lot of good people out there.

Hi

Still got MRSA.
But more tests being done today and Thursday ie Myocardial-Perfusion-Scan.
2 Neg result's 1 Pos for MRSA.
Hospital not accepting transfer.
So if these tests at our local hospital prove that Pat's heart is correcting it's self then Pat wont need to go to Middlesex but if not then Pat will still need the operation.
But Pat will still need 3 clear results before she can go there medication and test for MRSA start today and will take another 14 day's for test and to get final result's then there is no guarantee that's it will be clear.
But if heart is correcting it's self Pat could be home early next week.
I hope and pray.
                                                          John
krys

hello john

thank you for keeping us updated, i think that pat should
have been transferred john, but if her heart does not need
this operation, all well and good, because having an operation
is a big strain.
i am still thinking of you and sending you both hugs,
and also praying for you both

love
