Over the road from us lives a lovely old man, whose granddaughter comes every day, to check that he is ok.
He was waiting for me as I pulled up this afternoon, as he hadn't seen me around for a while (I usually try to see him every day or so) and was worried because he knew I had not been well.
He presented me with 2 large carrier bags, one full of runner beans and the other full of potatoes, fresh from the garden.

I had trouble putting my bin out the other morning. We have 2 small steps and the green bin was very heavy, so I was struggling getting it up
(dunno why they have wheels, they don't turn up steps so you just have to heave.).
A lad on his way to school stopped and gave me a hand!
Saw my neighbour who gives me the freshly grown veg today. He was on his way home from the shops, so I stopped for a chat and say thank you for the last lot. He had ice cream in his bag, so when I got back from walking Rocky, I took him over something to have with it...........rhubarb crumble
