A BOOM in the number of police pups has left the force with a desperate need to collar volunteer carers.
West Midlands Police has seen 38 new cute canine cadets born to Birmingham’s Thin Blue Line since July.
Now they are searching for people to house and look after them.
Members of the force’s puppy walker scheme look after the furry crimefighters in their first few months of their lives.
Animal assistant Dave Raymond, from the force’s Dog Training Centre, Balsall Heath, said the volunteers were needed to help give the dogs experience of the world around them.
