Notice what it says the shop price is, and this is normally higher than you can get it in the shop and then look at what someone is willing to pay possibly will reject it after winning anyway.
store price £899.99 bid price £1,175

if you want to see what it goes for look on the comet auction site on Monday just before 3pm
It is already up to £2025 personally I would order it on-line for £899.99 or even the updated model as it is either the old model or ex-display or maybe both. _________________ Don't shoot a politician use a rope it's reusable |

Its probably a cheque scam... often Nigerian.
The "purchaser" is probably trying the old dodgy cheque or failed payment scam - watch out for this. Basically they will contact the seller and ask if they will accept a cheque, the vendor says well OK if it can be cashed first, then the cheque is paid in, shows on the balance from the bank as cleared, everything looks fine. the TV is dispatched. Sometimes they will even ask you to cash a bigger cheque "to pay some to their nephew, because he hasnt got a bank account in the UK"
Two days late, a letter from the bank ... unfortunately the cheque has been cancelled... (you see you have nearly a week to do this, well after it shows as cleared and coming into your account) ... oh, and sometimes the cheque proves to be from a stolen account/ID too.
There is some nasty stuff going on out there - have a look around www.419eater.com to see some of the hilarious anti-scammer methods, - and stay safe. :thumbl: |
